Client: Adrian & Lisa
Location: Westfield Avenue, CR2, Croydon
Type of Project: House Renovation, Remodelling, Additional storey
Architectural Designers: APT Renovation
Our client wanted their two bedroom Croydon bungalow to be transformed into a five bedroom house. This would require a complete remodelling of the building structure, including a roof removal and an added storey.
For this large project, we had to start from scratch and strip everything down, and have been using scaffolding and temporary timber structures to help secure everything whilst works are ongoing. One of the first steps to converting this bungalow property into a house, was to remove the existing roof so we could start work on adding an additional floor. This complicated remodelling process has just been completed, and the building now looks unrecognisable from before, boasting a brand new storey and a new rooftop. Thanks to this house extension, we have not only added two new bathrooms (including one ensuite), but also three bedrooms. The plastering in the whole house has also just been finished by our team, and our joinery have actively been working on new doors, windows and frames, as well as a number of other fittings and decorations to match the new impending design of the property.
We are presently fitting in new electrical and plumbing systems, a megaflow system and underfloor heating throughout the property. Our team are also fitting in a new and spacious kitchen, complete with bespoke wooden drawers and cupboards. We have just installed ceiling lights to create a more modern feel, which will eventually complement the overall finish of the house, which has been designed in its entirety by our team.
